The man thinks that having the students become residents of school dormitories is a good idea. The first reason was because the students will be able to pay less fees for housing when the fees were quite heavy on students before change of the rules. Another reason was because the new rules in the school will make the students eventually do more extra curricular activities, due to the new regulations of having students live in dormitories.

I prefer the way of using the newspaper or the internet, for several reasons. First, it is effective to earn information by them because you can recheck the information you learn over and over again. For example, when you watch news through a television, you can only listen or see the facts only once, while using the internet or the newspapers give you opportunities to read them several times. The second reason is because using the internet and the newspaper has less chances of getting addicted. For example, using the internet makes you look at only the information you want, when the television rapidly passes information by information making it harder for people to turn off the television.

The internet is the most influential invention in the last 100 years. One reason is because the internet made the world's speed of change faster. For example, the whole world is connected because of information, which makes us know right away what changes were made in the present. Another reason is because the internet made our lives upgraded in parts of information, entertainment, culture and more. For example, we often enjoy internet games, share ideas with people around the world, or write letters to a person that takes almost no time at all.

The problem here in this discussion is that the student, Katherine, has been late multiple times in her class. I prefer the way of rescheduling her class, because she can't an A if she keeps getting tardies. But if she reschedules her class, she can finish the class that is the requirement for graduating. That way, she doesn't have to take the same class in her senior year.

The professor points out that there are 2 ways how people forget memories. She tells one example that a person is given a phone number and he tries to memorize it, yet he doesn't write it down. Soon he forgets the phone number. The passage realates to the example that the memory decays when the memory is not used for a while. The second example is a personal one of the professor when she went to a book store without a list. She remembered the book titles. She ran into a friend there and started chatting. After the conversation, she forgot the book titles. This relates to the interference of the memories that when a new memory enters the brain, the new mem causes the old one to depart.

The main topic is that the university will change its policy that they will increase the number of the students in a seminar class. The male student opposes to this change, because he thinks that the class will have suffering having a seminar with too many people. Another reason is because he opposes the idea that hiring part time teachers in a seminar class. He thinks that part time teachers are too busy teaching other schools, and often they are not qualified to teach universities. Therefore, the students will not receive a quality education.
